What We Believe
The Bible is the infallible Word of God which tells us the story of God’s interaction with people.
God is loving and perfect, being completely pure and righteous, all powerful and all knowing.
God is one God in three – referred to as the Holy Trinity:
God the Father,
Jesus Christ, the Son of God and
God the Holy Spirit.
We are an inner-city church with a focus
on mission, youth and partnering
with migrant communities.
The Bible tells us that each one of us is sinful in nature and, no matter how hard we try, we have all thought, said and have done things which were sinful and have separated us from God. If we die in our sinful state, we face an eternity in hell, separated from God forever.
‘…all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.’ Romans 3:23
In order to allow us to be forgiven for our sins and escape this separation, Jesus came to the earth in human form about 2000 years ago, lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, allowing us to again become one with God.
‘But God demonstrated His own love for us…, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’ Romans 5:8
Our message is Jesus only - Mighty to Save
Jesus rose from the dead following His sacrificial death and now lives in heaven with God the Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life ie. living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.
Belief in Jesus is the only way to be saved and enabled to come into relationship with God the Father. If we believe in Jesus, He gives us the right to become children of God. Each of us can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and come into our life as our Lord and Saviour.
We strive to be a creative, generous and welcoming community.
‘If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.’ Romans 10:9
Jesus will come to the Earth again. When the Saviour comes again, He will come in power and glory to claim the earth as His Kingdom.
The Christian Church, of which Gateway Baptist is a part, is God’s family gathering in many different locations and formats around the world to educate, empower and encourage believers as they serve mankind by sharing the story of Jesus.

If you would like to become a Christian, accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, it can be achieved by praying a prayer such as this one:
"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you into my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."
