Safe Church

All people have the right to be respected and valued as well as feel emotionally, physically and spiritually safe at all times. Gateway Baptist Church is committed to being a safe church that complies with all standards and regulations regarding physical, emotional and spiritual health and safety for all who attend. Our purpose is to model the love of Christ to all with whom we have contact, particularly children, young peopleand vulnerable adults.

Gateway condemns all forms of abuse, discrimination and sexual exploitation, and is committed to creating and maintaining an environment which promotes safety and inclusiveness for all. All people who are involved in ministries and programs are expected to have completed the mandatory Safe Church training, be currently registered with the Department of Justice for working with vulnerable people and be familiar with the church’s policies and codes of conduct.
